And what if that friendship was based on a lie so sinister it made you question everything you believed in?The Chameleons Amateur Dramatics Society are proud to announce their next production: Pack of Lies. Set in Ruislip, this gripping play tells the true story of a suburban family who are dragged into an alien world of espionage and deception. The play centres on the Jackson household. Barbara and her husband Bob are close friends of the Krogers who live across the road, believing them to be a fun, law-abiding American couple. When a mysterious M15 agent wants to use the Jackson house as a surveillance post to spy on the Krogers, Barbara is faced with a moral dilemma. Should she allow her best friends to be spied on? Does she even have a choice? And if there’s nothing to hide, then what harm can come of it? What ensues is a nightmare that shatters their peaceful existence, as the Krogers’ involvement with the KGB becomes apparent and the true extent of their treachery is revealed.
