"To lose one parent, Mr Worthing, may be regarded as a misfortune, to lose both looks like carelessness."

The Story

Algernon Moncrieff (Stuart Everett), a bachelor-about-town has invented Bunbury, a sick relative, who frequently calls him away. His friend, Jack Worthing (Robert Spolander) has invented a wicked brother called Earnest to disguise his own misdemeanours. When Algernon poses as Earnest, confusion takes a hold and it takes the discovery of an old black handbag to reveal...Well that would be telling wouldn't it?

The Chameleons welcome Sally Crowley back to the Director's chair after the success of Dangerous Corner and she is already hard at work putting the cast through their paces. Other roles include the intimidating Lady Bracknell (Janette Hutchinson) and the delightful ladies Cecily (Michelle Edwards) and Gwendolen (Helen Stevens).

All is set for a simply wonderful evening's entertainment - are you?
