The Chameleons

Friends Reunited!

Just in case you didn’t know, The Chameleons are currently celebrating our 50th Anniversary. Yes, that’s a lot of plays and pantomimes! We’ve all sorts of activities going on including our debut at The Compass Theatre in July with A Chorus of Disapproval  a Curry-Oke!! in June, Look Back In Anger in September and so much more. It’s such an exciting time to be part of or just share in the fun.

With that in mind, we’re working hard to get in touch with anyone who has ever been involved in a Chameleons show either on stage or behind the scenes. We’ve even got an Anniversary Gala Ball in October to tell you all about. If you can’t make it but you’ve got a story or two to tell that’s great too!

So, if you are a fellow Chameleon hidden under a rock somewhere, we’d love to to hear from you at

We are delighted that, in our 50th Anniversary year,  our hard work has once again been recognised by the National Operatic And Dramatic Association (NODA). This years London regional awards ceremony takes place on Sunday 26th June and the nominations have been confirmed. The Chameleons are up for two awards this years and they are…

The Constance Power Trophy of Encouragement –
“For their ingenuity and dedication in tackling the ‘Scottish Play’ (Macbeth 2015) by setting it in the 21st century.”

The Nigel Gravette Award for the Best Performance in a Pantomime –
Stuart Everett as Dame Sweet in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk

Congratulations to all involved in either or both of these productions. The nominations are highly sort after as NODA London Representatives visit each of the affiliated societies and review their shows. You can rest assured, we’ll let you know right here if we win!

We hope you approve!

This amateur production of “Chorus of Disapproval, A” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, LTD.

After a short break, we are delighted to be back in rehearsals!

The show, performed between the 21st and 23rd July, will be our first at The Compass Theatre, Ickenham and its amusing tale of life behind the play is a perfect way to celebrate our 50th Anniversary! We are excited to announce that Chris Bird, a Life Member of the society will be directing and more information on Tickets and Venue will follow.
