Blithe Spirit

DSC_0679Charles Condomine and his second wife Ruth organise a séance along with another couple and invite local medium Madame Arcati. But who should appear but wife number one, the late and glamorous Elvira- and she can’t get back to the spirit world.  High comedy ensues as Charles has to keep the peace between both his forthright wives, neither of whom can see each other, and manage the eclectic Madame Arcati, recently famously played by Angela Lansbury in the West End.

Noël Coward is at his satirical best here. An astoundingly funny text every word counts and amuses, and this is rightly one of the most popular of any 20th century play.

After our triumphant last production Macbeth, we return to The Studio Theatre at The Harrow Arts Centre, which provides the perfect setting for a comedic evening in a comfortable atmosphere with excellent bar/café facilities and a private car park.
