The Vicar of Dibley

BOOK NOW
This July, The Chameleons return to the stage with our first stage play in three years. No no no no no no …yes we do! What better way to entertain you all than with the hilarious stage adaptation of the hugely successful TV series, The Vicar of Dibley.

This play by Ian Gower and Paul Carpenter has been adapted from the original TV series by Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer. We will be performing with kind permission of Tiger Aspect Productions. The script  brings together all the popular and loveable characters from the series that ran for 20 episodes (plus 7 charity specials and 4 lockdown episodes).
Dibley’s Parish council, bullishly led by David Horton (Stuart Everett), are less than impressed by the arrival of their first female Vicar Geraldine Granger (Rachel Spolander). Join us at St Erconwalds Church Hall between the 8th and 10th July to see if she can win them over with the help of her “super-keen” Verger, Alice Tinker (Catherine Waters).

If you loved the show you’ll not be disappointed by this production with some of those memorable moments. Laugh along as Alice and Hugo (Robert Spolander) grapple with their blossoming relationship, Owen Newitt (Kevin Palmer) with his Cows, Frank Pickle (Ted Blake) with his minutes and Letitia Cropley (Janet Davis) with some very unusual recipes. Oh, and as for Jim Trotter (Ben Parker), he’ll be there, dithering away throughout. No, no, no…yes he will.

We’ll continue to respect and follow the very latest government guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable return to the theatre you know and love. Grab your tickets below. No, no, no, no yes do!
